Health Benefits of Lavender Essential Oil

Lavender Is one of the most diverse oils, it is widely used and has a large list of benefits. It is obtained from the plant using a distillation process.

Sleep: Is one of the main areas where lavender comes into play. Lavender essential oil induces sleep it can be simply applied to the temples and wrist areas or a few drops added to your pillow will help you relax and enjoy good nights sleep. (we will soon be introducing a pulse point roller so this wonderful oil maybe applied easily and as often as required).

Calming; Rub 2-3 drops of lavender oil in your cupped palms, then use the inhalation method to draw the scent all the way into your amygdala gland (the emotional warehouse) in your brain to calm the mind. Then, rub on the feet, temples, wrists (or anywhere) for an immediate calming effect on the body. Great for use in crowded areas like planes or subways to carve out your own personal oasis.

Nervous system: Lavender essential oil has a calming scent which makes it an excellent tonic for the nerves and helps with anxiety. It is perfect for treating migraines, headaches, depression, nervous tension and the emotional stress that every day life throws at us. The refreshing aroma removes nervous exhaustion and restlessness while also increasing mental activity.

Bug Repellent: The smell of lavender essential oil is potent for many insects which helps to keep them away. Simply apply some of the lavender oil on to your exposed skin to help prevent biting. If a bite does occur then simply use your lavender oil to reduce discomfort with its anti-inflammatory qualities.

Pain relief: Lavender essential oil is known as an excellent remedy for various types of pains including those caused by sore and tense muscles, muscular aches, rheumatism, sprains, backache and lumbago. A regular massage with lavender oil can also provide relief from pain in the joints.

Hair care: Lavender essential oil is useful for hair care because it has been shown to be very effective on lice, lice eggs, and nits. Furthermore, lavender essential oil has also been shown to be very helpful in the treatment of hair loss, particularly for patients who suffer from alopecia, an autoimmune disease where the body rejects its own hair follicles.

Immunity: Regular use of lavender essential oil provides resistance to a variety of diseases. It is well-known that lavender has antibacterialand antiviral qualities that make it perfect for defending the body against rare diseases like TB, typhoid, and diphtheria, according to early research in the 20th century.

It is used to treat various skin disorders such as acne, wrinkles, psoriasis, and other inflammatory conditions. It is commonly used to speed up the healing process of wounds, cuts, burns, and sunburns because it improves the formation of scar tissues.
